The Command Center and its replacement, the Power Chamber, shared the same exterior appearance.

Command Center

The Command Center was the headquarters for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Zordon and Alpha 5 also resided here.

Tunnels

A series of "long-forgotten tunnels" lay beneath the Command Center1; Rito and Goldar were instructed to use a map found within the tunnels to locate the Command Center's weak spot (its base), but they soon accidentally burned the map2. Eventually, the duo planted an implosion device in a basement-like room filled with old equipment (and an old Alpha?); from here, the device destroyed the Command Center3.

Power Chamber

Its exterior rebuilt by the Zeo Crystal, the Power Chamber served as the Zeo Rangers' replacement headquarters, as well as a continued home for Zordon and Alpha 5. It later served as the Turbo Rangers' headquarters, during which time it was instead manned by Dimitria and Alpha 6.

Teleportation

The Command Center's (and Power Chamber's) systems were able to teleport Rangers across the Earth (and beyond).

History

MMPR season 1

The Command Center served as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' headquarters4. During the Green Ranger's attack, the Command Center's consoles were damaged, and Zordon lost connection with this dimension5. Although Billy and Trini repaired the consoles6, it took Alpha some time to restore contact with Zordon7.

MMPR season 2

The Rangers continued to use the Command Center throughout season 2 (Zordon and Alpha prepared the White Ranger in a hidden chamber therein8). When Kimberly traveled back to 1880, she found the Command Center still present in the past (though its exterior appeared to be of a cruder construction)9.

MMPR season 3

During the Thunderzords' destruction, the Command Center's "power accelerator" overloaded10, rendering the Command Center and Rangers powerless11. After returning with Ninja powers, the teens helped Alpha return the Command Center to working order12.

MMAR

With time turned back due to the Orb of Doom, the Command Center was left powerless, but Alpha traced the problem to an unplugged console due to spring cleaning they'd been performing at that point in the past13. Though the Command Center continued functioning after the destruction of the Power Coins14, teleportation was later regarded as a strain on the Command Center's power level15. After the Zeo Crystal had restored time, an implosion device planted by Rito and Goldar beneath the Command Center demolished the building16.

Zeo

Unearthed from the rubble, the Zeo Crystal dropped the teens into the Command Center's tunnels, and the building's exterior was reassembled above them; the teens then entered a green ooze-like portal and found themselves inside the Power Chamber, which Alpha 5 had been preparing for months17. The Power Chamber subsequently functioned as the Zeo Rangers' headquarters18.

Turbo

The Power Chamber (in a redesigned state; see Quality bump?) was later used as the Turbo Rangers' headquarters19 (and home to Alpha 6 and Dimitria, who replaced Zordon and Alpha 5 after their departure for Eltar20). Later, Divatox's forces stormed the Power Chamber, causing tremendous interior damage before detonators planted by Elgar destroyed the entire building21. From the wreckage, Alpha salvaged a black box22 which would later be used to combine the Astro Megashuttle and Astro Megaship23.
